Fully illustrated pamphlet of life aboard the US Barrett. Named in memory of Major Gen. Charles D. Barrett, US Marine Corps who participated in the Mexican War and WWI. Commanded the 3rd Marine Brigade in the South Pacific. The Barrett was built in Camden, NJ in 1950. After the outbreak in Korea she was converted to a military transport in May, 1952.
