BUT DON’T FORGET THAT ‘WHO’ YOU BUY FROM IS JUST AS IMPORTANT AS THE CAR THAT YOU BUY… 

You may like to shop around for the exact right vehicle for you. 

However, think about the sales consultant too when looking around for your next car.

Does your car sales consultant ask the right questions?

A good automotive sales consultant will make sure to check certain key areas with you in terms of matching you up with the car that they have that compliments what you are looking for. 

Would you be happy dealing with this automotive sales consultant in future?

If you need to contact the dealership at a later date, will you still feel comfortable dealing with the same salesperson?  A good car sales consultant should make you feel that you will be looked after not only at the point of purchase, but at any time in future should you need to call the dealership.
 
Does the salesperson that you are dealing with seem knowledgeable?

The person looking to sell you the vehicle should appear confident in presenting vehicles to you and be able to handle your queries with respect and in a timely manner. 
Be flexible with the carsalesperson serving you. 

At the end of the day, all automotive sales consultants have to work within certain parameters, defined by the carmakers or their own individual dealerships.  Car sales consultants are people too, and like us, have families and lives to care for and support. Work WITH your salesperson to find the best deal for you.  Don’t be afraid to walk away and go to another dealership where you feel more comfortable if you feel intimidated or under-served. 

IF YOU DO NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH THE PERSON SHOWING YOU THE CAR, HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT PURCHASING FROM THAT PERSON/CAR DEALERSHIP IS THE BEST FOR YOU? 

Always remember that the person you buy FROM is a deciding factor in your purchase. Only buy from the person and dealership that you feel is going to look after you best.

If you manage to find the right mover then half the battle is won. One of the greatest challenges of moving from one city to another, to the countryside, or abroad is locating an efficient and honest mover.

Keep in mind the following: movers must have a good reputation, an extensive network, and be licensed and insured. In addition, they must be professional, polite, understand your needs and proffer the right advice.

Here are a few considerations to put you on the right track:

Meet the mover and find out how long they have been in business and whether they can give you a few references.

Check the references. Call his clients to check on the services the mover offered and whether there were any problems.

Do an online search to determine whether there are any warnings or complaints against the mover.

Check with the local chamber of commerce or bank to determine the moving company’s business standing.

Check if the mover’s license and insurance are current. Ensure they have workman’s compensation and other benefits in place.

Determine whether the mover handles the work himself or assigns it to a sub agent or associate.

The mover must have a wide network with offices in the place you are moving to.

A reputable mover will be a member of AMSA, the American Moving and Storage Association. As a professional he will have committed to following an industry Code of Conduct and will offer quality service.

The ideal mover will not give you an estimate off the top of his head. He will insist to making a preliminary inspection, listing objects to be moved, and ask you to answer a number of questions. Based on which he will prepare an estimate and highlight variables.

He will be open minded and explain clearly what you can expect and what you cannot. He will tell you all about insurance, the actual moving process, transit storage, guarantees and so on.

An ideal mover will value your business and explain his responsibilities clearly.

Once you know you have to move allocate enough time to finding the right mover. Ask relevant questions like will my stuff reach its destination as promised, will the material move as one load or as part of other things, a larger load. What kind of training do your workers receive? Are the workers experienced in packing antiques and other valuables? Do I need additional insurance apart from the one provided by you?

Be prudent and weigh the pros and cons carefully. Never let cost dictate your choice. Sometimes by cutting corners to save a few pennies you may loose thousands in damaged goods or lost goods.

You’re on the right path for a successful start running your own business. You know this because franchise businesses have a higher success rate than independently started business and you chose to open a franchise. Even though that is true, you will still have to make decisions as a business owner that will affect the successfulness of your franchises future! Once you have made the decision on which franchise you will start, you will need to decide where to open that franchise. This will not be the first or last time you will have heard this but, location is everything! Your automotive franchise should be location near car dealerships and high traffic streets or should be seen from a major highway to increase your chances of success!

Choosing where to open your franchise will still be a creative process! You want your business to be in the best location that it will thrive the best in. There are a few other things to consider in this decision.

The first thing you should do is ask your franchisor for advice. The reason that franchises are successful is because they are already maintaining several locations with successful procedures in place. So they should be able to assist with ideas for where to open your franchise since they have most likely already opened a few. However it is your business and you will want to consider other factors as well. Keep in mind that they may have regulation for your franchising location that you will need to adhere to as well.

One thing to consider is the locations visibility. If you can’t see the business from the road how will they even know that it is there. If the view to your location is obstructed by trees, other buildings or is in a bad angle from the road in a plaza this can decrease your sales since people may simply not know you are there.

Accessibility is another factor to take into consideration .How easy will it be for customers to get to your door? Things to look at are traffic flows and lights. You would like to be in a busy place since more people will become familiar with your business however if there are no traffic lights to help people get to and from your business they may be discouraged from even going in the first place.

Chances are you are going to be located near other businesses. You should use your creative thought process to choose a location that is near businesses that could possible bring you more business. For example, you could open an auto body shop near an insurance office. If you could establish a good reputation with the insurance company they could recommend that their customers chose you to handle their car’s problems.
A little competition is good, but be careful. You will need to know what you are going up against. If you so chose to open a pizza shop across from another pizzeria that has been there for years and the town claims it as the #1 restaurant in the area, it might be a little too much to compete with.

Make sure the area is favorable to what you are trying to sell or do. If there is no need for your business it will not succeed.

Choosing where to establish your franchise will be a big decision and will take much thought, but remember these practical guidelines and do your research before you make your final decision!

It took me a while to find just the right automotive shop and mechanic in Tampa. I first had to go through a lot of grief with other auto repair shops. Many of them are unprofessional and unreliable, not quite fulfilling agreements entered into. Repairs are usually not finished on time. Some auto repair shops use substandard car parts, resulting in return jobs that cost me valuable time away from work and other productive endeavors. Even worse, I often found my vehicle stalling in the most inconvenient places even after an expensive auto repair job. That was very frustrating, indeed.

I almost gave up on hoping to find an auto repair shop and mechanic that I could truly rely on in Tampa. I refused to get stuck with shops that offered poor service, though. There had to be a better way. I vented my frustration to a co-worker and, fortunately, he referred me to Guy’s Automotive.

He said he never brought his car anywhere else, whether for a simple auto oil change or for serious engine repair because the technicians there were highly skilled and experienced. They could handle everything from manual to automatic car transmissions, local to foreign cars, economy to luxury cars and even truck repair. He, therefore, made sure that he regularly brought his car for auto inspection and maintenance at Guy’s Automotive. He had so much trust in this automotive shop that I was convinced to give it a try. At that point, I had nothing to lose.

Right off, I found the location of this auto repair shop to be very convenient, being near the downtown area. I decided to ask them for an auto inspection even if I still wasn’t experiencing any actual problems with my car. I thought it would be a good way to size up the shop and its staff.

The technicians were very efficient and friendly, indeed. Not only did they give fast service, they also clearly explained to me in layman’s terms what needed to be given close attention to in maintaining my vehicle. Not being very technically savvy, I greatly appreciated hearing about important details regarding my car in language that I could fully comprehend. I have never experienced such thoroughness from any other mechanic in Tampa. It gave me confidence in handling my vehicle and established my confidence in the auto repair shop, as well.

It turned out that some car parts previously put in my car were, indeed, of inferior quality and, although they were still functioning, were already showing signs that they would soon be needing replacement. The technicians at Guy’s Automotive  taught me how to check on those parts on my own to detect the very first signs of trouble so as not to be caught off guard on the road. They assured me that when needed, they would replace those parts only with top quality AC Delco car parts. Apparently, this auto repair shop uses only AC Delco car parts which they have proven to have the best performance.

True enough, in a few weeks’ time I found the warning signs they had told me about and was able to bring my car to Guy’s Automotive before having to be inconvenienced in the middle of a drive. I was so glad that they had diagnosed my car accurately and had provided me with crucial information and advice. I felt like an empowered car owner actively participating in keeping my vehicle in its best condition. It saved me time, money, effort and a lot of stress. It may have even saved my life.
